At Long Last: Long Lake

Camping sans tent is great
After one failed expedition two years ago, and years of dreaming, I finally made it to Long Lake. Absolutely worth the wait.  This place is incredible.   Two miles of petroglyph covered rimrock - and that's just the one next to the lake. Rock shelters, hunting blinds, ancient abandoned stone mortar and pestle, incredible birds and wild flowers, pronghorn everywhere, ... incredible place.  Well worth the wait. Had a little bonus exploration in the Chewaucan Mountains on the way home - finally made it to Campbell and Deadhorse Lakes.  Not as hammered as I was led to believe it would be.

Can't swing a cat without hitting a glyph around here!

I won't say where this is

Skiing in May

Will, skiing in May

Will and I squeezed out one last day at Bachelor in late May.  Six inches of powder and temps in the 20's - not bad.  And nobody else up there.  What a great way to transition to summer!
