Sun break

Went for a morning bike ride along the river today during one of Oregon's famous "sun breaks". Growing up here it never occurred to me how strange that concept was but friends who move here from the elsewhere seem amused by it.

October Camping Trip to Oregon Coast

Near Yachats

Maria and I took advantage of a free October weekend to head to the coast in the Eurovan Camper.  Perfect weather and sparse crowds greeted us - this really is a great time to visit the Oregon Coast, much better than summer.  I brought my bike and rode a few miles of 101 from Beachside Campground to Heceta Lighthouse, reminding myself I live an hour from world class coastal scenery.
