Netarts Bay and Oceanside

Oceanside Beach
Presidents Day weekend on the Oregon coast.  We had a little of everything in terms of weather; rain, hail, wind, sun, more rain, but it was beautiful.  Netarts is as authentic Oregon Coast as you get on the northern Oregon coast.  With a bay full of boats out crabbing and fishing, amazing rocky headlands (one with a tunnel through it to provide access to an otherwise inaccessible pocket beach), estuaries, and sandy beaches there was a lot to see.  I'd long passed by this section of the Three Capes Drive and I am glad I finally spent some time here to explore it.

A little catching up

Inside Fort Rock

It has been a while since I posted anything.  We've actually stayed home a few weekends, and I had a trip to Florida for work as well as a trip to Seattle so there hasn't been a lot of exploring done.  This past couple of days I took advantage of a Friday off of work to get a half day in at Bachelor (the slopes were deserted - nice), a drive out to Fort Rock (been too long), some exploring in Bend, and a stopover on the Metolius while heading back home.  Beautiful weekend in central Oregon.
