Winter is on hold

It turns out that the great start we had to winter fizzled out after Thanksgiving.  We still managed to have great times over in Bend, skiing at Mt Bachelor and hiking in the High Desert.  Snow is in the forecast again for later this week, and we are looking forward to it, but the sunshine was pretty nice while it lasted.  A couple of weekends ago I spent Sunday morning hiking around on Horse Ridge with a friend.  Intriguing areas to explore to the east and south of here.
