More Eastern Oregon

Lone Juniper, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument

This weekend was the annual Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) members meeting at the Hancock Field Station in the Clarno Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds. This time Alan and I convinced our families to join us. We had a great weekend, working hard pulling fences down and planting willows in the 80+ degree April weather. What a contrast from the last two years. Beautiful place and the dry ground made for excellent hiking - which we took advantage of Sunday morning.
