One Last Ski Weekend

Mirror Pond, Bend

This past weekend found us in La Pine again, in a cabin at La Pine State Park. The same cabin we had stayed in a month ago, in fact. Such a great deal. There wasn't the nearly continuous snow storm of our last visit, but it was a good weekend nonetheless. Spent a day skiing at Mt Bachelor (excellent snow, few people), and a day at the High Desert Museum and around Bend. There is such a good energy over there on the sunny side of the mountains. I wonder if it will persist through this rather vicious economic downturn.
