Paddling Lake Billy Chinook

Maria and William on Lake Billy Chinook
An eighty degree day in early April was a good excuse to load up the boats and head down to Lake Billy Chinook.  It was early enough in the year to avoid most of the motor boat yahoos and the desert is greening up - a perfect time for Cove Palisades State Park.  We paddled up the Deschutes Arm until we hit the incoming current.  Awesome canyon, tons of raptors, and a beautiful day.
