The Chewaucan River

Ask even long time Oregonians if they have heard of the Chewaucan River and most will say they haven't.  It is tucked away in south central Oregon amongst an unnamed mountain range near Paisley and it is a true find.  We spent a mid May weekend there recently and enjoyed 80 degree temperatures, sunshine, and very few other people.  I managed to get in a 15 mile hike and do a little exploring of the valley, but needed a few more days to really see what I wanted to see.  Must come back with more time, some bikes, and hopefully the same lack of crowds.
